Lipid testing
Coronary artery disease often develops over decades. It can go virtually unnoticed until it produces a heart attack. There are interventions to prevent and treat coronary artery disease. It is important to keep your cholesterol levels within healthy limits. The Laboratory offers a complete lipid profile. Fasting Instructions.

Glucose Screening
Diabetes is a group of diseases characterized by high blood glucose levels that result from defects in the body's ability to produce and/or use insulin. Patients may request either a fasting plasma glucose test or hemoglobin A1c. Fasting instructions.

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI)
A limited number of STI tests may be requested directly. No walk-in appointments will be allowed for this testing. Appointments must be scheduled through MyHealthSpace. Students may elect to be tested for HIV, syphilis (RPR), Chlamydia, and gonorrhea. HIV and the RPR require a blood collection. Chlamydia and gonorrhea require urine samples. Patients should avoid urination for one hour prior to collection.
